IMUGI “이무기” (ee-moo-gee)is a jewelry brand by Mihee Kim. In Korean lore, imugis are giant serpents associated with waterways such as oceans, rivers, and lakes. These pre-dragon creatures are said to bring good luck and rain to the harvest. After millennia, they turn into dragons by nothing less than catching stars.

Like it’s namesake, IMUGI is a story of transformation. Featuring ancient symbols, sculptural forms, and contemporary shapes, IMUGI is a statement about who we are becoming. In a world increasingly hostile towards marginalized bodies, jewelry can act as talisman, love story, or armor.
