Organizing Pillars:

Healing as a Collective: Individual healing and collective healing are deeply intertwined. While personal manifestation can lead to powerful transformation, collective healing, care, and spiritual growth is part of our shared human purpose. Our identities greatly impact our experiences here on earth.

Reclaiming Intuition: Connecting to our sense of deep inner knowing or intuition, is a pathway towards living a more fulfilled, just, and connected life. I believe we each are connected as one ground of all being, influenced greatly by the Dao, Buddhism, Hinduism and perennial philosophy.

Spiritual Lineage: Respectful engagement of both Eastern and Western spiritual practices with humility and continued learning can provide healing within the context of a colonial framework, as we disrupt towards a more liberated world. If teachers and practitioners connected by blood and cultural lineage are available to teach their spiritual lineage, those teachers should be uplifted and supported in their work.

In the United States and Korea, histories of colonization, enslavement, militarism, genocide and war have impacted all of us living here today. Many of us are on the unceded lands of Indigenous peoples far from the lands of our recent ancestors. Massive migrations fleeing the impacts of war, genocide, and imperialism led my people here. Although there is deeply connecting and profound healing which comes when I return to Korean cultural practices, spiritual and otherwise, there is no returning to an ideal culture of origin. The whole world is impacted by the greed and cowardice of a few, which is reflected in our collective shadow. So many of our lineages have been painfully disrupted, and so we must reclaim with nuance, learn by invitation, and move with respect.

Science and Spirituality: There is an important intersection between modern physics, medicine, philosophy, trauma-informed therapeutic methodologies, and the realms of ancestral, intuitive, spiritual, religious and creative work. Each has its role in individual and collective healing, and differing systems can complement each other effectively if we integrate knowledge as it is revealed to us through data, as well as experience. We can’t abandon one for the other without living a partial truth.

The Future is Yours, To a Degree: While intuitive work may involve divination and fortune telling, we inhabit a recursive space of multiplicity and nearly endless potential, empowering us to alter our destinies by learning the spiritual lessons we encounter. I also recognize that circumstances can often be/feel out of our control, however, especially true for those who are suffering most under systemic injustice in this world. This tangled reality grounds our understanding of being human. Future orientation is needed for many envisioning realities that include everyone but do not yet exist.

Presence: Try to to live in the moment, and be a silly goose as much as possible.
